Objectives
This course is for participants who have some hands-on knowledge in Excel and would want to use it more effectively.
Course Outline
1. Using more advanced worksheet functions ( 3 hrs )
- Participants will be able to understand and use conditional formulae
- Learn how to set up LOOKUP tables and use LOOKUP functions
- Learn how to use GOAL SEEK
- Learn how to use the SOLVER
2. Working with View, Scenarios, Goal Seeker & Solver ( 3 hrs )
- Participants will be able to create views, use Goal seek and Solver, learn to switch between views, able to create and switch between scenarios.
3. Using Excel to manage lists ( 3 hrs )
- Learn to set up an Excel list and sort the list
- Able to create list subtotals
- Learn how to add, edit and delete list items using the data form
- Learn to use Autofilter and Advance filtering tools
- Able to analyse list data and PivotTables
4. Participants are able to create embedded charts and separate page charts ( 2 hrs )
- Able to add and remove chart data and add trend lines to charts
5. Learn how to use standard Excel templates and create custom templates ( 3 hrs )
- Learn to insert objects onto spreadsheets
- Able to format drawing objects
- Able to create themes and cell styles
6. Learn how to apply the Excel tools ( 2 hrs )
- Able to use tools to check calculations
- Able to share the workbook with others as well using proofing tools to check and correct the document.
